PepsiCo Workplace Branding Initiatives
Designing immersive brand experiences to elevate employee satisfaction and engagement at PepsiCo Centers globally
About
During my summer internship at PepsiCo in 2023, I partnered across several types of design projects & executing comprehensive brand & graphic design solutions across the PepsiCo Global Food and Global Beverage Portfolios.
I led the design of innovative workplace branding solutions aimed at transforming distribution centers and office spaces into motivating and engaging environments. By conducting market research and collaborating with cross-functional teams, I developed scalable design concepts that enhanced workplace aesthetics and morale. These designs were tailored to improve employee engagement across multiple regions, aligning with PepsiCo’s global branding strategy.

Tools

70,000+ square feet
2000+ employees
300+ Pepsi products

What was my role during this internship?
I needed to collaborate, ideate & articulate my creative thinking to advocate for design in a physical space, with cross-functional teams globally
The five types of branding styles—Full Height Branding, Band of Branding, Decal, Accent Wall, and Matrix Frame(s)—are designed to enhance physical spaces like offices, distribution centers, and supply chains, each providing a distinct way to integrate brand identity.

I worked on designing workplace branding deliverables across 4 key projects in Canada, India, and the United States of America
Each of these projects across various PepsiCo centers, including an
- Office branding in Gurgaon (India),
- Supply chain facility in Thunder Bay (Canada),
- PepsiCo Distribution center in Columbia (USA), and
- Frito-Lay distribution center in Wayne (USA),
are tailored to enhance employee engagement and brand presence.
Let’s look at each of them in detail:
The client had a brief idea about which sections they wanted branded, so we worked with them to find the perfect brands for each space!

Below is the process followed prior to the approval and installation of the branding artifacts:
- Step 1: Identify the target wall for branding.
- Step 2: Ideate and design the artifact tailored for the chosen space.
- Step 3: Refine the design based on client feedback.
- Step 4: Present the final visuals for approval and installation.

I tackled challenges during my internship through creative problem-solving, organization, and proactive communication
- Initial difficulty navigating the PepsiCo image repository
- Time management while juggling multiple projects
- Finding the right graphics in high resolution for each site
- Connecting with other interns in the program, as the sole design intern
- Created filters and collections within the repository
- Created a priority tracker and set deadlines for each project
- Manipulated images to meet project requirements & client needs
- Initiated 1-on-1 networking calls with every intern
